Helping Kids Be Kids Every Day

For more than 75 years, Dairy Queen® has been the place for kids. That is why DQ® restaurants give back locally to organizations focused on helping kids enjoy all that childhood has to offer.

Through our partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, DQ restaurants have been bringing happiness and healing to local kids across the U.S. and Canada for more than three decades.

Bringing Happiness and Healing to Local Children’s Hospitals

Our partnership with CMN Hospitals is a year-round commitment we’ve made as a system to help provide happiness and healing to sick or injured kids, often during the hardest moments of their lives. We’ve made this promise because we believe in giving back and feel that bringing happiness and smiles to kids even in the most trying circumstances is incredibly important to providing the best care possible.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, WI

DQ restaurants funded more than $150,000 in upgrades to the technology services in the MACC Fund Cancer Center within Children’s Hospital of WI. These technology upgrades allow families to watch videos or play games together as they take a break from medical treatments or stay connected with friends and family during their hospital stay.

Hurley Children’s Hospital - Flint, MI

DQ restaurants provided a generous gift that allowed Hurley Children’s Hospital in Flint, Michigan, to purchase DVD players and movies for children’s rooms. This funding also helped buy a Vecta® multi-sensory machine that lets kids calm and comfort themselves. The Vecta provides music, a bubble tower, lights and many other features sick or injured kids can use during stressful moments. This specialized tool is especially valuable when administering care to children with special needs.

Local Businesses Helping Local Kids

Nearly all DQ restaurants are independently owned and operated, and through our partnership with 170 local children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, your local DQ is able to directly support local kids. So when you purchase a Miracle Balloon, drop a coin in our donation jars, or purchase a Blizzard® Treat on Miracle Treat Day, your donation stays in your community.
